Busy Days and Even Busier Nights
This summer, we were busier than ever, catering to an impressive array of events across the city. Our calendar was filled with everything from large-scale events like FVDED in the Park and the iconic Celebration of Light to smaller, more personal gatherings like backyard baby showers, intimate garden parties, and, of course, Vancouver weddings. This season was jam-packed, and we can't thank our team enough for their hard work and dedication in making this summer's events so memorable!
Festival Feasts: FVDED in the Park
FVDED in the Park brought together thousands of music lovers, and we were thrilled to be part of the culinary experience, providing fresh, delicious meals that fuelled festival-goers throughout the event. Likewise, the Celebration of Light, with its breathtaking fireworks displays over English Bay, saw our team serving up a range of delectable options to those gathered to enjoy the show. These events are a testament to our ability to cater to large crowds while maintaining the high standard of quality and service we are known for.
Nine Weddings in One Weekend!
Weddings are always a special occasion, and this summer was no exception. One weekend in particular stood out, where we had the honour of catering nine weddings over just a couple of days. Each wedding was unique, with its own style, theme, and menu, but all shared one thing in common: a commitment to making the couple's special day truly memorable.
Vancouver's Pride Festival VIP Lounge
Another standout event this summer was our participation in Vancouver's Pride Festival. Serving at the VIP Lounge was an incredible experience, as we had the opportunity to celebrate love, diversity, and inclusion with the vibrant and colourful community. Our team crafted a selection of dishes that were not only delicious but also reflective of the festive and joyful spirit of the event. The energy and positivity at Pride were truly contagious, making it one of our favourite events of the summer.
Concord Pacific's Inukshuk point VIP Lounge at the Honda Festival of Lights Fireworks
One of the highlights of our summer was hosting at this year's HONDA Festival of the Lights Firework's Concord Pacific Inukshuk VIP Lounge. This exclusive event provided a prime viewing spot for the spectacular fireworks display over English Bay, and we were honoured to deliver a premium culinary experience to the VIP guests. Our menu featured an array of gourmet dishes, carefully curated to complement the evening's festivities, making it a night to remember for all who attended.
A Highlight: Catering at the Remote Wigwam Inn
Among all the events we catered this summer, one of the highlights was undoubtedly a wedding at the Wigwam Inn, a remote and stunning location nestled in Vancouver's Indian Arm. This historic inn, accessible only by boat, provided a breathtaking backdrop for the couple's special day.
Catering at such a unique and remote location presented its own set of challenges, but our team rose to the occasion. From transporting ingredients and equipment by boat to ensuring that every dish was served at the perfect temperature, we managed to deliver an exceptional dining experience in the heart of nature.
