Reflecting On Our 2020

Reflecting On Our 2020

First and foremost, we thank you for your loyal support this year. ‘The year 2020 came with several unexpected and unanticipated surprises’ is probably the biggest understatement of the year. With the events that affected us all both locally and globally, it is easy to fall down that rabbit hole of negativity and reflect on unsavoury things. However, with every challenge also poses a handful of opportunities. This year allowed us to take into account our industry’s challenges, reflect on them, and develop new ways to better serve you, our customers. Despite the number of cancellations we faced due to the Provincial measures in place to tackle Covid-19, we were able to pivot and provide the same quality of service and food in new ways that kept our team and your families safe.

Truffles Re-Opening

When our industry was given the green light to resume operations, it was sort of a big deal! The safety of our staff and guests is always a top priority for us and Truffles Fine Foods has gone through great lengths to ensure we check all the boxes for the safe re-opening of our cafes and catering locations. From our meal and beverage services to how we operate in our kitchen, we have had to adapt to various service styles and what is now known as the new norm. To learn more about the different practices we have in place, I encourage you to visit our reopening guidelines. We continue to work closely with representatives from the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health Regions to ensure our guidelines remain up-to-date.

It is also worth mentioning that this year saw the opening of our brand new, state-of-the-art commissary kitchen and tasting room! Located on 8286 Sherbrooke Street in Vancouver, this facility provides us with ample space to prepare our culinary creations and deliver them freshly to you and your guests. In addition, we have a small tasting room where you can visit us, sit down, relax, and taste our epicurious offering. If you are planning an event in 2021, I encourage you to call us ahead of time at 604-505-4961 extension 1 to schedule your visit.

Meals At Home

Finding ways to better serve you was also a big objective of ours in 2020. Since the lockdown prevented us from celebrating with you at large gatherings, we had to think of ways where we can continue to deliver our service and meals to you. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, we brought back our highly acclaimed Turkey Dinner To Go – a four-course meal served fresh with all your favourite fixings. This holiday season we also introduced our Holiday Meal Packages for all the local businesses who had to move their holiday gatherings virtual. We offered three different packages and a variety of menu options. Lastly, we also introduced Holiday Gift Baskets consisting of decadent dessert boxes, charcuterie, or seasonal treats!

Although 2020 is quickly wrapping up, it’s not too late to get your hands on the gift baskets. Ideal for sending to friends, family, coworkers, and clients, these gift baskets will be available to order until January 31st, 2021 and  also have the option of adding wine or beer. Please visit here for more info!

From our family to yours, we humbly thank you for remaining with us in 2020 and we wish you a safe and healthy New Year. Here’s to the opportunities of 2021!
