Create a memorable experience with the Festival of Lights Holiday Event Package

Capture the magic of the holiday season amongst the twinkle and glow of VanDusen Gardens’ Festival of Lights. This holiday event package allows you to create a memorable experience for your guests at one of Vancouver’s most spectacular events of the holiday season. With an exclusively-designed menu, an event space that’s tastefully decorated inside VanDusen Gardens’ Visitor Centre, and entry tickets to the Festival of Lights event, our team looks forward to welcoming your guests for an unforgettable celebration.

VENUE

This holiday event package starts at $3,500 and includes the decorated venue space, tables, chairs, 100 entry tickets into VanDusen Festival of Lights, SOCAN fee and liaison staff. The venue is yours from 2:00 pm until midnight.

CATERING

Truffles Fine Foods’ catering team has designed an inventive seasonal menu. You can choose between four catering packages:

Cocktail Reception

Make the evening merry and bright as canapés are warmly served throughout the room, the perfect choice for a casual come-and-go event allowing your guests to mingle. The Cocktail Reception option is available for up to 150 guests and starts at $40 per person* including food, rentals, table décor, and staffing. This package features some of the following items:

  • Olive Tapenade and Charred Cherry Tomato Crostini, topped with crumbled feta and balsamic reduction
  • Sesame Crusted Albacore Tuna served on a skewer and drizzled with wasabi mayo
  • Mini Christmas Dinners featuring slices of turkey topped with cranberry chutney on crisp pieces of stuffing
  • Fire Cracker Chicken Satays with chopped Jalapeno, cilantro, served with spicy chili sauce

Cocktail Dinner Party

The best of both worlds, this sophisticated combination of passed canapés and wholesome platters replaces a traditional sit-down dinner. The Cocktail Dinner Party option is available for up to 150 guests and starts at $60 per person* including food, rentals, table décor, and staffing. This package features some of the following items:

  • Smoked Salmon Platter with thinly sliced smoked salmon, red onion, dill, capers, cream cheese, served with a selection of breads
  • Local Artisan Meat and Cheese Platter four types of charcuterie and local B.C. Valleys cheeses, accompanied with house made sweet preserves, pickled components and artisan crackers
  • Sesame Crusted Albacore Tuna, served on a skewer and drizzled with wasabi mayo
  • Mini Christmas Dinners featuring slices of turkey topped with cranberry chutney on crisp pieces of stuffing

Gourmet Buffet Dinner

A traditional choice that captures the cordial character of a family-style dinner, this menu features something for all tastes and preferences. The Gourmet Buffet Dinner option is available for up to 150 guests and starts at $70 per person* including food, rentals, table décor, and staffing. This package features some of the following items:

  • Fraser Valley Chicken Breast with bacon sherry vinaigrette, sautéed peas, gnocchi, rosemary jus
  • Roasted Root Vegetables
  • Truffles Caesar with roasted garlic dressing
  • Chocolate Ganache Cake with a crème anglaise, lime, and raspberries

Elegant Plated Dinner

This exceptional formal dinner choice beautifully showcases our chef’s expertise in fine dining. The Elegant Plated Dinner option is available for up to 120 guests and starts at $120 per person* including food, rentals, table décor, and staffing. This package features some of the following items:

  • Albacore Tuna Tartare with avocado, salmon caviar and wasabi cream
  • Grilled New York Steak with herbed fingerling potatoes and green beans
  • Cheese Cake with local blueberry purée

*Catering packages do not include alcohol, taxes or gratuity. Menu items may be customized.

Liquor Service

Truffles Fine Foods is a fully-licensed catering company. Our price guide starts at:

  • Beer – $6
  • Highballs – $6
  • Wine bottle – $28
  • Bartender $30/hour (minimum 4 hours)
