How To Have A Micro Wedding

How To Have A Micro Wedding

Over the past few months, our lives and the way the entire world operates has evolved into something so unprecedented and unpredictable that planning just about anything is near futile. Due to the seriousness of Covid-19, our industry has faced several challenges from closures of our stores to the cancellation of events. With that said, our province has endured and we are slowly moving into phases that allow us to operate again. We know how important it is for you to tie the knot. And, as the old saying goes, “The show must go on!” When it comes to having your wedding, is it not just as relevant and applicable?

With current restrictions in place, our culinary team has been able to pivot by welcoming any and every request pertaining to Micro Weddings. If this concept is new to you, I invite you to read on.

What is a Micro Wedding?

A micro wedding is any ceremony or reception that consists of 50 guests or less. I understand that keeping within that number can prove to be difficult for some – especially if you have a larger network. However, it is the perfect opportunity to keep the wedding within your budget, invite all your family members and besties, and have everyone accommodated in more available venues! Your wedding will be one of your biggest milestones – a time when you want to cherish all the memories you spend with the closest people in your life. Whether it is an elopement, ceremony, or reception, micro weddings are more manageable and also present you with more opportunities in terms of venues.

A common struggle for wedding planners to find venues as the party size increases it to fit all their guests under one roof – see my previous blog post if you don’t know what I mean. Having a micro wedding keeps your big day (or night) very personal, and allows you to see to all your guests to share your wedding with.

Where to have my Micro Wedding?

As I said, the smaller your wedding, the more options you have in terms of venues. Typically the larger weddings are reserved to hotel conference rooms, restaurants that can accommodate larger parties, and golf courses. With micro weddings, your options definitely open up a lot more. It can be anywhere from a historical chateau to an elegant, private room in a fancy restaurant. If you are in need of ideas, have a look at the venues we partner with – the options are near-endless! Our team of culinary experts are also well-versed in wedding receptions of all sizes.
